The room was surprisingly spacious, equipped with a fridge and an effective heating system-ideal for those cooler Berlin evenings. Although I appreciated the cleanliness, I did find it disappointing that a bathroom light was out for several days, a simple oversight that could have been flagged by housekeeping. After bringing it to the manager's attention, it was swiftly resolved, but it did remind me that small details matter in the hospitality industry. The hotel's location, about a 10-minute walk from the S Bahn station Mahlsdorf, lends itself well for daytrippers looking to explore central Berlin. With free parking and decent public transport connections, it's a reasonable option for those who need to be outside the city. A breakfast option is available for just 10 euros, providing a solid start to the day. Friendly staff and a calm atmosphere bolstered my overall experience. For travelers on a budget seeking comfort away from the hustle, the Garni-Hotel holds good potential.
